Some nasty, nasties at Credit Suisse

Nothing like a little dish first thing. Credit Suisse says it is looking into how one of its stock salesmen emailed hedge-fund clients a trading note that included provocative pictures of women and sexually suggestive puns.

The Swiss-based financial services group, which recently went through a rebranding, said: "Credit Suisse takes this matter very seriously and we are investigating it."

The trading note on Hong Kong-listed media and entertainment company eSun Holdings was emailed to selected hedge-fund clients.

Despite a concerted campaign by investment banks to shake off an industrywide reputation for sexism, the sector continues to see instances of sexual banter emailed beyond their intended circle.

Most recently, a London-based back-office worker at J.P. Morgan Cazenove, a unit of J.P. Morgan Chase, was suspended after an email was circulated around the world in which he boasted of his sexual adventures.
